How It All Started
Like any great story worth telling, it started the same way…
We were at a bar.
At brunch in Nashville - a couple childhood friends with other of lifelong friends on the final day of a weekend birthday trip. As you can imagine, we were in rough shape. In desperate need of revitalization.
And somehow… we found it.
Sitting at the bar, waiting for our table to be ready.
Something shifted. Maybe it was the fumes from the night before. Maybe the sobering realization that the trip was ending. Or maybe (most definitely) it was the hair of the dog. Regardless, we felt alive again.
The ABV began to rise, conversations started flowing, and the bartender handed us a beautiful off-menu cocktail - served with a large, single, crystal-clear cube.
It immediately stood out.
Elegant. Clean. Intentional.
It became the topic of conversation.
The bartender told us they sourced the ice from a supplier - but they couldn’t supply enough inventory to keep up with demand. It was always an issue.
That’s when it happened.
A pause. A look. A spark.
A lightbulb moment.
For the remainder of the trip and on the flight home, a business plan was coming together. After a few weeks of extensive research, discussions and planning, we decided to take the leap.
Still Ice was born - proudly becoming the first-ever craft ice company in Northern Virginia.
Without industry connections.
Without an inherited customer base.
Without a roadmap or prior experience.
Just a clear vision, the dedication to improve, and the grit to make it happen.
